Opening in September 2021, Houlton School will be a 6-form entry school, for children aged 11-18, based in Rugby. Houlton School occupies an iconic local landmark building set in 20 acres of countryside on the east boundary of Rugby (M1 junction 18). With the addition of two purpose-built teaching blocks and a Sport England compliant Sports Centre, Houlton School will provide a truly exceptional school site for students aged between 11-18 years.
Built in the iconic Mast Site, which was home of the first radio transmitter to broadcast a trans-Atlantic radio communication, the school will be at the heart of its local community - a new housing site of 6,200 homes to be built over the next 15 years.
Houlton School will be the only secondary school on the development and will set the standard for delivering excellence in education. It will also provide an invaluable community resource.
An established multi academy trust, Transforming Lives Educational Trust (TLET), was born out of the successful partnership between two high performing academies in Rugby, Warwickshire.
